Lizzie was born in Greyabby, County Down, Ireland. She immigrated to the US (CA) in 1886, where she met & married Robert Stewart. While expecting her first child, Lizzie returned to Ireland for a visit. While there, she gave birth to a boy child who died and was buried in Ireland. She then returned to Robert in CA. Her second child, Anne. was born in CA and died shortly after. They then moved to the Chicago area. The other children were all born in the Chicago area.

The Family was living on a farm in Wheaton, IL when Lizzie was born.


Lizzie became deaf about age 12 from a swimming accident.
She married Charlie Hines and they had no children.

"Sonny" attended school to the 7th grade when he quit & sold newspapers to help support the family.

There is also a story that his shoes were pawned on Sunday after church
and redeemed the next week before Sunday service.

Skinny

"Skinny" married Ann ? abt. 1926. Ann died in child birth.
Their only child, Richard, was adopted by Ella (Stewart) Canty

Skinny remarried in ???? to Ethel ??. They had no children.

Black Jim


"Black Jim" got his nickname from a job he had as a young man.
He drove a coal truck and was always covered with coal dust.

Jim was married to ???? and they had 1 child..
