Hannah was from County Wicklow in Southern Ireland. She had 2 brothers (Benjamin & Len) and 2 sisters (Lizzie & ?). James & Hannah are burried near the Church of Ireland in Greayabby. Some of their children imigrated to the US, So Africa Australia & New Zeland. James was the owner of a Sprit Grocery, coal merchant and an Emigration agent. After James died, Hannah sold the business and moved to Black Abby, a farm near Balleybrain where she raised her younger children.
Lizzie imigrated to the US in 1886.
Samual was on the police force in Belfast and 3 of their 7 children were born there. They moved south to a farm in Sallins, County Kildare where the other 4 were born.

They had 5 daughters (Valorie & ????).

3-5. Mary (?-12/1074)Worked as a nurse in Dudlin, England and N Ireland.
3-6. Samual (?/?)Worked the family farm at sallinns, County Kildare and died of heart attack.
3-7. Emily (?)After Philip died she moved in with her sister Ellen.
Margaret was the daughter of Danial Marshall of Greyabby. They were married at the Parish Church in Greyabby. In 1898 they immigrated to the US (Chicago) to live near his sister Eliza Jane who had moved there from CA. Robert was unable to work or care for his children toward the end of his life. He died in Cook County hospital due to a declining mental illness.
4-1. Alexander (1897-1975)He hung around Union Stock Yards & became a hog buyer for Agar Packing.
They lived at 5305 S. Morgan. Robert paid $3,500 cash for the house.
Dorothy was the daughter of Herbert & Gertrude of Clinton, IL
Ona & Bill have 5 children.
James "Mort", owns "Morts Tap" in Amboy IL. Darlene (Marsha) has served in several city positions and is active community affairs. Darlene has 3 sons.

Rob is an electrician in Geneva, IL and an EMT.
Sherry & Ray were both fire fighters & EMT's. Ray was chief for 8 yrs. Sherry is an X-Ray tech, and Ray is a repair tech. for GE. 3 Children.
They lived in Kircubbin, Belfast, No Ireland in a home purchased for them by her father after the birth of Rebecca, their first child. They had 7 children. Their son Jim and his wife later lived there and raised their family. Before his marriage, James lived in the US for short period. Back in Ireland, he started out with a bicycle shop. About 1932 he became active with the Ards Hospital serving on many boards and committees and became a member of the management committee. Upon retirement he was named an honorary governor for life. A wing of the hospital and an avenue in Kircubbin is named after him. He also served on the town council for 50 years and Justice of the Peace for County Down.
5-1. Rebecca (07/??/1902)John died of Cancer. Rebecca had 2 strokes (84 & 87) and had to sell the family home in Greyabby. John was postmaster and operated the telephone exchange till it automated.
Elizabeth attended Victoria College and then the Royal Victorian Hospital for nursing. She practiced nursing till she married. They live in Portavogie and in 1983, she returned to nursing in the Newtownards area.
Will attended Campbell College and worked at a London bank. Due to illness, he took a position in Ireland with Univ. of Agriculture. His wife is a nurse and they live in the town of Downpatrick with a view of the Mourne Mts.
Helen was the daughter of Frank T. & Anna M. Shaw. She attented Stanmills College (34-36) and was a teacher from 1936 to 44. Jim owned a filling station and service garage.
Jim took over his fathers service garage and also worked the grandfathers farm. His wife opened an antique shop across from the garage which she runs with the help of Jims mother.
Frank obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from Quens College. He has a real estate development business and Pam opened a clinic.
Ella was a tournment bowler amd avid sports woman. Her husband was from London and was an electrical engineer and the manager of a processing firm.
They own a leather goods shop and have a son, Andrew.
Lorne, an accountant with his own business in Belfast.
They share an interest in bowling and travel.
5-5. Hannah Buckley (?-01/01/1943)Hannah owned a grocery store. She died of complications of a leaky heart valve.
5-6. Robert Benjamen (1914-09/60)Dr. Ben and Betty lived in England. He died of a heart attack.
Janet was a solitor in England & died of stomach cancer.
Both parents died when he was age 4. See Rosemary.
They are the guardians of Janets child, Thomas.
He settled in Dunsdin where he was married. They immigrated to New Zeland. In 1937-8 he took a world tour. He died in Oakland, NZ of a heart attack shortly after his return.
Robert was from County Antrim. They had 4 children. He served in the Royal Irish Constabulary in many parts of Ireland. During WWI, he was seconded to the British as musketry instructor (1914-18). On retirement they moved from Dublin S Ireland to Lisburn, N Ireland. He served as Justice of the Peace & was in charge of rationing during WWII.
7-1. John (03/1903-1926)Ben was a teacher and volunteered for clerical work in the war. He was sent to Wakes where he caught tubercolsis and died.
7-3. Kathleen Elizabeth (01/02/1907)William was the Rector of 3 Churches in county Down. Theere first home was at the foot of the Mourne Mts in the village of Hilltown. They moved several times to different parishs and then retired to Bangor in 1970. In 1988 they moved to Helens Bay to be near their daughter and son-in-law who was a doctor. Will was in failing health.
He was in the drapery business in Northhamptonshire, England where they lived until his retirement in 1975 when they moved to N. Ireland to be near her sister and family. Nell suffered a stroke in 1983. In 1989, they moved from Bangor to Donaghadee, County Down. Greg died suddenly from a heart attack in 92. They had no hildren.
8. David John (12/13/1880-?)They moved to Johannesburg So Africa and had 5 children.
9. Benjamin (04/10/1883-01/14/1927)Upon finishing school, he moved to Belfast and lived with his brother. In Belfast he worked for a newspaper called "The Whig". He is buried in Greyabby cemetary. Alice is buried in Roseland cemetary near Belfast. She was living with her daughter Hannah at Parkmont, Lisbon, N Ireland.
9-1. Hannah (?)They lived in Balleymoney, County Antrim.
9-3. Agnes (?)They lived in Belfast. Ben suffered 2 heart attacks and had bypass sugury.
Ben was killed in a car crash.
9-6. Lallie (?)They have a home with a view of Scrabo Tower, Strangeford Lough and the Mourne Mts.
