Marie was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. She married James E. Canty in 1936?? and had 3 children

After this marriage dissolved, she married William R. Jennings on 6/1/1946, having 3 additional children

for a total of the 6 of us

Marie worked as a telephone operator until her retirement in 1968 and also did a stint as a waitress / short order cook for a local diner. Her greatest joys in later life were
Bingo, Lottery, and donating to childrens charities.

Bob joined the navy after high school with duty stations in Alaska and Japan.
After his navy tour, he went to NIU??
(memory) and obtained a degree in accounting using his GI benefits and working summers and part time jobs.

Graduated Visitation GS, Harper HS, and went to work for IL Bell. Got into computer programming and started a computer business abt 1969. Gave that up in 1973 for a motel in SC. While in SC, earned a Private & Commercial pilot licence with Instrument rating. Sold the motel in late 76 and spent a bit over a year in Colorado doing contract programming and looking for an aviation business. On 1/1/78, Coastal Aviation (with a partner) started business from Coastal airport (83J) Pensacola FL. Obtained Flight Instructor (airplane/glider ratings), A&P (airframe/powerplant) Mechanics Licence and had more fun than any one person should be allowed in a lifetime..!! This business faild in 3 years (not enough profit to support 2 familys and 1 person couldn't run it). Oh well, back to contract programming AND contract flying (for fun) on the wekends.

Bill also joined the Navy. He served on the AC Carrier USS Intrepid (CVA 11) out of Norfolk VA (Currently in Dry Dock in New York).
